What is Colostrum?

Colostrum is one of life’s greatest gifts, that’s what Colostrum is✌

It’s packed full of goodies and is cleverly designed to meet your newborn baby’s hunger, hydration and immune needs during their first few days in the world.

I recommend all pregnant mamas learn how to hand express Colostrum from their breasts. Just be sure to avoid doing this before you are 37 weeks pregnant or if you have a history of premature labour.

If you are wondering how to hand express, I cover this in great detail in my Video Series, so feel free to use the below link to learn more.

So much love x Amberley.

Hi amberly, I just listened to your podcast with Sophie from Australian birth stories and I’m thinking I should express some colostrum as I have to have a Caesar with this baby and am concerned this will affect breastfeeding, milk coming in etc.
should I freeze the syringes as is? Or do you store them a different way? Thanks heaps!
